Horizontal Vibrating Screens

Horizontal Vibrating Screens

YHS series horizontal screens are elliptical motion high-efficient vibrating horizontal screens that have two unbalanced vibrating mechanisms rotating in opposite directions and generating adjustable vibration force intensity due to adjustable counterweights. This gearless designed horizontal screens are more efficient and reliable than other conventional elliptical motion or linear motion horizontal screens. These horizontal screens are mostly used for final product separation in mining, quarries and gravel and sand pits. These horizontal screens which are produced in several different sizes are driven by two electrical motor via V-belt and pully.

What is a Horizontal Vibrating Screen?

A horizontal vibrating screen is a machine used for separating, classifying, and screening materials based on their sizes, characterized by a horizontally arranged screening surface. These screens operate by creating a horizontal vibrating motion, allowing materials to pass through the screen surface and be separated into specified sizes.

Working Principle

The horizontal vibrating screen separates materials through a horizontal vibrating motion created by electric motors or hydraulic systems. These vibrations cause the materials to move across the horizontal screen surface, where smaller particles pass through the openings while larger particles remain on the surface and move downward.

Key Components
  • Screen Surface: The perforated or woven surface on which materials are separated.
  • Vibration Motors: Motors that provide the vibrating motion.
  • Frame: The main structure on which all components are mounted.
  • Springs: Components that ensure uniform vibrating motion.
  • Feed Hopper: The part where materials are loaded onto the screen surface.
  • Discharge Channels: Channels through which the separated materials exit.
Advantages
  • High Screening Capacity: Can separate large quantities of materials in a short time.
  • Effective Classification: Separates materials accurately into specified sizes.
  • Durability: Features a robust structure and high-quality components, ensuring long-term use.
  • Low Maintenance Cost: Its simple design and durable parts require minimal maintenance.
  • Versatility: Can be used in various industries and for different types of materials.
Applications
  • Mining: Separation and classification of ores based on their sizes.
  • Quarries: Screening and separation of crushed stones.
  • Construction: Classification of construction materials.
  • Recycling: Separation and screening of construction and demolition waste.
  • Agriculture: Classification of grains and seeds.
  • Chemical and Food Industries: Separation and screening of powdered and granular materials.

Technical Specifications

The technical specifications of horizontal vibrating screens can vary depending on the model and application. General specifications include:

  • Screen Size: Width and length of the screening surface.
  • Production Capacity: The amount of material that can be processed per hour.
  • Vibration Frequency: The speed of the vibration.
  • Motor Power: The power of the vibration motors.
  • Number of Decks: The number of layers in the screen surface (single deck, double deck, etc.).

Types of Horizontal Vibrating Screens

  • Single Deck Horizontal Vibrating Screen: Features a single screening surface and is typically used in simpler applications.
  • Double Deck Horizontal Vibrating Screen: Features two screening surfaces and is used for more precise material classification.
  • Inclined Horizontal Vibrating Screen: The screen surface is slightly inclined to speed up material flow.

    Conclusion

Horizontal vibrating screens are ideal machines for accurately separating and classifying materials based on their sizes. With their high screening capacity, effective classification, and durability, they are widely used in various industries such as mining and construction. Their horizontal design ensures consistent material flow and they come in various models and sizes to meet application needs.
